Our Early Years was inspected by Ofsted in (July 2017). They reported that: “The early years provision is thriving because of effective leadership, good teaching and the productive working partnership between Reception and Pre-School.”
If you are aged 2-5 years, Brockhampton Pre-School is the place to be!
There is no clear distinction between the words Pre-School and nursery. We call ourselves a Pre-school as we provide a seamless transition for children into full-time schooling.
Brockhampton Pre-School offers children aged 2-5 years a finely tuned, play based curriculum personalised to meet each child’s needs. The best part about our Early Years is that we learn through explorative, meaningful play and is a fantastic stepping stone into full-time schooling.
Friendly, well qualified nursery staff work closely with the reception staff, children and wider school team to make sure that children’s transition into full-time schooling is seamless.
The idyllic rural surrounding creates a magical place where children can explore. Whether it is the extensive woods, Forest School sessions, the new woodland build or a walk on the Bromyard Downs the children are given every opportunity to explore their environment and learn in meaningful contexts. Pre-school children attend forest school sessions once a week and put on their wellington boots. During these sessions they build shelters, hunt for minibeasts and create artwork from nature. Our outdoor classroom and specialist clothing means we can go outdoors whatever the weather.
We recognise parents are children’s first and main educators. As such, we involve them in every step of their child’s learning and progress. This helps us to build comprehensive knowledge of each unique child and their family. Parents know what their child is learning as they receive regular website updates and notes in communication books including photos of their child in action in Pre-School
