Year Three

A message from  Mrs Preston - Friday 8th November

Welcome back after the half-term break. Our first week back has already been busy, busy, busy. In Awesome Art we have been studying the painting "Christmas Presents which was painted by Hugo Oehmichen in 1882. We have used this painting as a historical source to learn about the past. The children have been historians by finding evidence in the painting to answer questions about the Victorian era. Remember that we have Victorian Day on Tuesday 12th November.

A new homework sheet has been sent home and a copy of it is on this page. I have really enjoyed seeing all the homework projects that the children have been doing at home.

Please remember to read with your child as much as possible every week. When your child has finished their book, please talk with them about it and then sign their reading record.

Please have a look at the photos below to see how busy we have been in both maths and science. The children have really enjoyed the practical learning that we have been doing.

Thank you for your continued support with your child's learning. As always, please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

Best wishes

Mrs Preston
